The Road to 5450
As of Update 10 (Feb 2026), max level in King Legacy is 5450. Getting there takes most players somewhere between 40-80 hours depending on your fruit, build, and whether you're using 2x EXP codes. This guide gives you the exact route — no guesswork, no wasted time.
The three seas break down roughly like this:
- First Sea: Level 1-750 (~8-12 hours)
- Second Sea: Level 750-2100 (~15-25 hours)
- Third Sea: Level 2100-5450 (~20-40 hours)
Third Sea takes the longest because each level requires exponentially more XP. But with the right approach, you can shave off 10+ hours.
Best Grinding Fruits by Sea
Before we get into the route, here's what to use at each stage:
| Sea | Best Fruits | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First Sea | Flame, Magma, Ice | Logia dodge + decent AoE clears mobs effortlessly |
| Second Sea | Rumble, Magma, Phoenix | Higher damage output needed; Phoenix sustain is huge |
| Third Sea | Dragon, Rumble, Magma | Max AoE damage for endgame mobs with 500k+ HP |
💡 Pro Tip: Phoenix is secretly the best "lazy grind" fruit. The self-healing means you never have to stop to eat food or wait for HP regen. You just... never die.
First Sea Route (Level 1-750)
The First Sea is essentially a tutorial. You'll move through it fast.
Level 1-120: Starter Islands
- Starter Island (1-25): Kill Bandits for Morgan's quest. ~500 XP per turn-in.
- Shell Town (25-60): Axe-Hand Marines. Accept the repeatable quest, kill 8, turn in, repeat.
- Orange Town (60-120): Buggy Minions drop decent XP. The density is good here — pull 3-4 mobs and AoE them down.
Level 120-350: Mid Sea
- Arlong Park (120-200): Fishmen quests give 2,800 XP per completion. Arlong himself gives 8,500 XP on kill.
- Baratie (200-350): Don Krieg's soldiers are tightly packed. Best mob density in Sea 1.
⚠️ Warning: Skip Baratie if you don't have a fruit with AoE. The mobs are spread across the ship deck and annoying to chase one by one. Go to Drum Island early instead.
Level 350-750: Late Sea 1
- Drum Island (350-500): Wapol's minions + Wapol boss (~45k HP, gives 15,000 XP). Kill the boss every time he spawns.
- Alabasta (500-625): Crocodile's territory. Desert mobs give 4,200 XP per quest. Crocodile boss drops 25,000 XP.
- Skypiea (625-750): Enel's priests give 5,500 XP per quest turn-in. Enel himself is worth 40,000 XP and unlocks Sea 2.
💡 Pro Tip: If you have a Logia fruit, you can AFK-farm the Alabasta desert mobs. They can't damage you through intangibility, but they'll keep attacking, letting you kill them at your own pace.
Second Sea Route (Level 750-2100)
Second Sea is where things get real. Mobs hit harder, have way more HP, and the XP curve steepens.
Level 750-1100: Early Sea 2
- Water 7 (750-900): Shipwright enemies. 6,500 XP per quest. Dense mob packs near the fountain area.
- Enies Lobby (900-1100): CP9 agents. 9,200 XP per quest. This is one of the best grinding spots in the entire game — tight hallways funnel mobs into your AoE.
Level 1100-1500: Mid Sea 2
- Thriller Bark (1100-1350): Zombies. 12,000 XP per quest. Zombies come in packs of 5-6, perfect for AoE.
- Sabaody (1350-1500): Pacifista mobs give 15,000 XP per quest. They're tanky, so you need a decent fruit.
⚠️ Warning: Pacifistas at Sabaody have a laser attack that ignores Logia intangibility. Don't facetank them thinking your Flame fruit will save you.
Level 1500-2100: Late Sea 2
- Fishman Island (1500-1750): Hody's forces. 18,000 XP per quest. Underwater arena has great mob density.
- Punk Hazard (1750-2000): Caesar's gas soldiers. 22,000 XP per quest. Split between fire side and ice side — farm whichever matches your fruit's element for a small damage bonus.
- Dressrosa (2000-2100): Doflamingo territory. 28,000 XP per quest. Defeat Doflamingo boss (~1.2M HP) for 120,000 XP and to unlock the Third Sea portal.
💡 Pro Tip: The Doflamingo boss fight is significantly easier with a partner. His String Cage move traps solo players, but a second player can break you out. Ask in chat or bring a friend.
Third Sea Route (Level 2100-5450)
Endgame. XP requirements are massive, mobs are brutal, and efficiency matters more than ever.
Level 2100-2800: Early Sea 3
- Whole Cake Island (2100-2500): Big Mom's soldiers give 35,000 XP per quest. The cake forest is packed with mobs.
- Wano Country (2500-2800): Samurai enemies. 42,000 XP per quest. Wano has the best scenery in the game, but more importantly, the mob respawn rate is faster here than anywhere else.
Level 2800-3600: Mid Sea 3
- Onigashima (2800-3200): Beast Pirates. 55,000 XP per quest. Kaido boss (~3.5M HP) spawns every 30 minutes and drops 250,000 XP. Farm him.
- Elbaf (3200-3600): Giant warriors. 65,000 XP per quest. Mobs have massive HP pools (800k+), so you absolutely need an S-tier fruit here.
⚠️ Warning: Elbaf giants have a stomp attack with a huge hitbox. Even with Logia, the ground-pound area damage can catch you. Stay airborne if your fruit allows it.
Level 3600-5450: Endgame Push
- Laughtale (3600-4200): Roger's guardians. 80,000 XP per quest. Hardest mobs in the game, but the XP is unmatched.
- Update 10 Dungeon (4000-5450): The new dungeon introduced in Update 10 gives 100,000-150,000 XP per clear depending on difficulty. This is now the fastest way to grind from 4000 to max. See our Update 10 Guide for dungeon details.
XP Stacking Strategies
Here's how to maximize your XP per hour:
- 2x EXP Codes — Always activate before a grind session. Check our Codes page for active codes.
- Private Servers — No competition for quest mobs means zero downtime. Worth the Robux.
- Boss Rotation — Kill the nearest boss every time they respawn. Boss XP is "free" on top of your quest grinding.
- Quest Stacking — Accept the quest, kill mobs, turn in, immediately re-accept. Never grind without an active quest.
💡 Pro Tip: With 2x EXP code active in a private server while boss farming on Onigashima, you can hit 500,000+ XP per hour. That's about 3 levels per hour even in the 3000+ range.
How Long Does 1-5450 Actually Take?
| Method | Estimated Time |
|---|---|
| Casual (no codes, public servers) | 80-100 hours |
| Optimized (codes + private server) | 40-55 hours |
| Hardcore (codes + private + boss farming) | 30-40 hours |
The difference between casual and optimized is enormous. Codes alone cut your time by 30%. Add private servers and boss farming, and you're looking at half the time. If you haven't already, check our King Legacy Tier List to make sure you're using the right fruit for your level range.
