Anime Expeditions Beginner Guide
Anime Expeditions is a Roblox tower-defense game built around summoning units, defending routes, and improving a roster through Traits, Evolution, equipment, and harder modes. The safest launch route is to take the free progression systems first, then spend only after your first team has a clear weakness.
Quick Start Route
Use this order for a new account. It keeps permanent resources available while the tutorial objectives teach you where each system lives.
| Priority | Action | Why it comes now |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Redeem current codes | Free Gems and upgrade resources improve every later choice |
| 2 | Start Beginner Path | Its objectives provide direction and Beginner Tickets |
| 3 | Use Beginner Tickets | The Beginner Banner is designed for new-account value |
| 4 | Build one Story squad | Story unlocks maps, rewards, and later progression |
| 5 | Add Challenges | Farm only the materials your chosen upgrade needs |
| 6 | Enter Expeditions later | Treat it as a progression mode, not the first tutorial |
Redeem Codes First
Open the top-left three-dot menu, choose the code option, and enter currently listed codes exactly. Start with our Anime Expeditions codes page, but remember that codes can expire or have unlock conditions. Claim rewards before summoning so you can judge your complete starting budget. Do not plan around a reward until the game confirms redemption.
Complete Beginner Path
Open the Events area and follow Beginner Path objectives. Release coverage agrees that its early chapters award Beginner Tickets and introduce core systems; the exact reward bundle can change. Claim each completed node rather than assuming rewards are automatic. If an objective seems stuck, reread its wording and perform the action from the specified menu.
Use Beginner Banner
Spend Beginner Tickets on the Beginner Banner before converting your Gems into scattered pulls. The banner is a limited onboarding resource, so finish the available ticket pulls and evaluate the result as a team, not as isolated rarity labels. Afterward, check the current featured pool and pity display before using Gems. Banner rotations and guarantees are patch-sensitive.
Build First Story Team
A useful first lineup covers jobs: a dependable damage dealer, an area attacker for packed waves, a farm/economy unit if owned, and support or crowd control. Stone Alchemist and Ramen Guy are reported launch economy options; do not discard them solely because their direct damage is low. Compare your pulls on the release tier list, while treating roles and map coverage as more important than filling every slot with the same tier.
Upgrade the few units you deploy consistently. On a stage, place economy early only when the team can still stop the opening waves, then invest in the carry covering the longest useful section of path. A failed clear usually calls for a placement or upgrade-order change before another summon.
When to Enter Challenges and Expeditions
Push Story on Normal first, then revisit Hard for its separate first-clear rewards where available. Enter Challenges when you know which Sprite color or special item you need; random farming creates an inventory without a plan. Expedition is a later progression system and release guides report a player-level requirement. Trust the lock message shown in your current build rather than a static level number, then bring a stable team that already clears Story reliably.
Resources to Save
Save Trait Crystals and rare reroll items for a Secret, an evolved Mythic, or another unit you expect to keep. Preserve Rainbow and colored Sprites until the Evolution preview confirms a target. Keep duplicate high-value units until you have checked Ascension or other duplicate uses. Gems are flexible, but a changing banner pool makes patience valuable. See the focused Traits guide and Evolution guide before committing limited items.
Common Mistakes
- Spending every Gem before checking the active pool and on-screen pity.
- Rerolling a useful Trait without a stopping budget.
- Selling economy or support units because their damage card looks weak.
- Upgrading the whole collection instead of one working Story squad.
- Crafting Sprites before selecting an evolution target.
- Copying a late-game team that cannot afford its early-stage placements.
What Next
Once Story clears are steady, identify the single upgrade that fixes your next obstacle: a stronger carry from the tier list, a role-matched Trait, or an evolution with a meaningful new ability. Then farm that requirement directly. This loop is more reliable than dividing time among every mode.
Verification Notes
Release route and system details were cross-checked against Pro Game Guides' beginner guide and the public Roblox experience listing. Early Access systems may change, so current in-game labels take priority.
